At first I got the Aleo Flash MP3 Player Builder and got frustrated because I was using mp3s encoded at 320kbps, which apparently is too high to be practical in terms of how quickly the player begins streaming audio. When I lowered the bitrate to 128kbps everything worked much faster and I am very pleased with the design flexibility and think it looks very nice on my site. But I am still wondering about why it takes 3-4 seconds to begin streaming. I have the % box (how fast does the player begin playing as a percentage of file size) to 3. Would it help to lower it to 1? 0? 8? Higher?
I can live with the 3-4 second delay. But I have a flash player that came with Sonar (DAW) that is not nearly as nice looking or as flexible in terms of programming as the Aleo but it sure streams faster, same file, same DSL line, same computer, same web server and site. But when I click on play or forward to the next piece, it plays immediately.
Is there something I can tweak to help speed up the Aleo flash player?
Thanks in advance,
